Talking About This Raffle!
Larry Romano went onto The Tim Jones and Chris Arps Show to talk about a lot of things but a lot of the talk was about Larry’s philanthropy. Larry spends a lot of his free time with helping people on his mind. One of the points of discussion was this Raffle for the Gateway to Hope. Larry explained the story of how he came by the Johnny Depp CD. With Johnny having such an amazing career and his recent court case, Johnny is still in the minds of fans. Larry felt this would be a great opportunity for fans to join a raffle to win this CD and automatically help a good cause at the same time.

About This Raffle Item. Johnny Depp’s CD P
Before Hollywood Vampires, Johnny Depp was in a band simply call P. P was a short-lived American alternative rock band formed in early 1993 by Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes (vocals), with actor Johnny Depp (guitar/bass), actor Sal Jenco (percussion), and songwriter Bill Carter (guitar/bass). This CD is the title album from P. It was released on November 21, 1995 through Capitol Records and was reissued on May 8, 2007, under the Caroline Records label. Produced by bassist Andrew Weiss, the album also featured contributions from Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones, and pianist and Los Angeles scene fixture Chuck E. Weiss.
The album features a diverse “array of alternative rock, touching on funk metal, R.E.M.-style folk-rock, and grunge.” The album also features cover versions of Daniel Johnston’s “I Save Cigarette Butts” and ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”. The track “Michael Stipe”, named after the R.E.M. frontman, was released as a single in 1995 and received airplay on alternative radio.
